I'm a sucker for a pretty dress. Don't get me wrong, I love my jeans, but I just feel my best when I'm wearing a dress. And today I have my eye on this gorgeous Topshop Petite Embellished Skater Dress. It has the two elements that I find irresistible in a dress: a flattering shape, and an open back. (I'm a sucker for an open back too.) Maybe I can squeeze one more dress into my closet...

Lately I've been trying to be good and not spend so much money on clothes. But with a new season comes a desire for new clothes. Since I tend to live in dresses during the warmer months, I find myself needing more, despite the fact that my closet is absolutely full of them already. And I find myself unable to resist a floral.

Since I find myself with a snow day and my laptop in front of me, I headed over to ModCloth, the go-to place for cute, relatively affordable dresses. I stumbled upon the Open Air Lesson Dress and fell in love with the floral top and the royal blue skirt. It would be perfect with a pair of cognac wedges on a warm, spring day!

Friday Favorites

There's no denying that Ms. Lauren Conrad looks fabulous no matter where she goes. She was recently in Miami for the Cotton 24 Hour Fashion Show. The California girl went for colorful ensembles early in the day. She wore a yellow Skaist Taylor Pamela Pleated Poplin Dress with Aldo Harvat Wedge Sandals.

She paired those same Aldo sandals with a red Black Halo Stirling Dress.

For the Cotton runway show, Lauren opted for a bold lip and a black Camilla and Marc Calculation Jumpsuit.

The paparazzi spotted Ashley Tisdale doing a little shopping with her niece recently. The two stopped by Barneys in Beverly Hills. Ashley wore a Lovely Bird Lazy Fedora, a Free People Windows to My Soul Pullover, Free People Patched Utility Skinny Jeans in Sandstorm, and the Jeffrey Campbell Youngers Boot.

Her bestie, Vanessa Hudgens, stopped by the DVF Loves Roxy launch event in a comfy and casual outfit. She wore a blazer, tank, skinny jeans, and heels. She accessorized with a House of Harlow 1960 Skull Vial Necklace.

Mrs. Ryan Reynold, a.k.a. Blake Lively, posed for photos at a Gucci event where she wore a plaid dress from the label. And as always, she showed her love for Loubs in a pair of Christian Louboutin Maggie Pumps.

 Ashley Benson kept cozy while out in the cold NYC weather this week. She wore a knee-length coat, a white tee, Rag & Bone The Skinny Rock with Holes Jeans (which I have and they're amazing!), and red boots. She carried a Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily Raffia Satchel.

Her Spring Breakers costar, Selena Gomez, was spotted leaving P.F. Changs wearing a black coat, white tee, skinny jeans, and gray boots. She added a pop of color with her Beckley by Melissa Cement Print Scarf. Selena carried a Dolce & Gabbana Miss Dolce Crossbody Bag.

For the Otto fashion presentation in Germany earlier this week, Olivia Palermo posed for photos with her equally stylish boyfriend. She wore an Otto Buffalo Blazer in Orange over a white dress and paired with dark green heels.

Fresh off her big win at the Oscars, Jennifer Lawrence posed with her award at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. She wore a form-fitting Calvin Klein dress and Brian Atwood pumps.

Kate Bosworth was among the many other celebrities at the Vanity Fair party. The blonde actress bared her legs in a mini Giambattista Valli Couture Dress. She completed her look with gold sandals and a swipe of lipstick.

Lea Michele looked stunning in a black, silk chiffon Vivienne Tam dress and Tabitha Simmons heels at PaleyFest.

The leading ladies of Oz: The Great and Powerful have been making loads of appearances lately. Michelle Williams attended the London premiere in a blue, feathered Burberry dress and black Jimmy Choo platform sandals.

Rachel Weisz opted for a nude Michael Kors dress and Tabitha Simmons shoes.

Mila Kunis looked splendid in a tiered Alexander McQueen dress.

Nina Dobrev looked springtime casual at the 2013 Film Independent's Spirit Awards this week. She paired a Michael Kors Spring 2013 RTW Embellished top, white shorts, and gold sandals.

For the Weinstein Company and Chopard Pre-Academy Awards party, she wore a Zuhair Murad dress, Stuart Weitzman pumps, a GemsAround 2mm Pave Set 36-Stone Eternity Ring, and Carla Amorim earrings.

Nina wore a black and white Naeem Khan Fall 2013 RTW Sleeveless Lace Gown for Elton John's AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party.

Miranda Kerr is one Hollywood mom who always has amazing street style. The Victoria's Secret model was spotted in Los Angeles earlier this week. She wore a Stella McCartney Large Check Gingham Blazer, Frame Denim Le Skinny De Jeanne Mid-Rise Skinny Jean, and Givenchy Zipper Ballet Flats. She also wore Prada Heritage Cat-Eye Sunglasses and carried a Givenchy Antigona Duffle.

While in New York, Miranda went for an all-black look with a Givenchy Wool-Blend Double Breasted Coat, The Row Cromer Chunky Sweater, and Helmut Lang Skinny Leather Pants. She shielded her eyes with Alexander Wang London Sunglasses. And as usual, she carried her trust Givenchy Antigona Duffle.

Ashley Tisdale wore a Splendid Denali Slub Long Sleeve Lace Up Sweater, denim shorts, Free People Boyfriend Over The Knee Socks, and boots while out in Studio City. She carried a white Celine Boston Bag.

Ladies in floral! Vanessa Hudgens attended a conference for her upcoming movie, Spring Breakers, in a Sachin + Babi Coronado Sleeveless Dress, and ASOS Proxy Pointed High Heels with Toe Cap. She also wore a Cartier Love Bracelet with Diamonds.

Her Spring Breakers co-star, Selena Gomez, was out and about in Encino recently. She embraced the warm weather in an FP ONE Criss Cross Florals Maxi Dress in Ivory. Selena carried a McFadin Sundance Fringe Bag in Stone.

Olivia Palermo always attended the hottest fashion shows and always manages to look fabulous while doing so. The socialite attended the Roberto Cavalli show in a fur-trimmed coat, skinnies, pointed-toe pumps, and Westward Leaning sunglasses.

2013 Oscars: Jennifer Lawrence

It should come as no surprise that the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence was my best dressed pick for last night's Oscars. I mean, the girl just looked stunning in Dior, don't you think? And I'm so happy she won Best Actress for her work in Silver Linings Playbook, even though I have yet to see it. But don't worry, I'll make sure it's in my hand the day it's released!

Jennifer just seems like such an amazing, down-to-earth girl and she truly deserves the recognition she's received this year.
